A general hail is going out to anybody who wants to work on the Grandeur-A Project. For those of you who started following Jason "Vektor" Lee 3D renderings of the new Grandeur update you have seen how much has developed over a period of time.
Grandeur had a life of its own when Robert "Dr.Bob" Crosswell designed Grandeur into a 3D model about 8 years ago complete with a few great rooms It is time once again to carry forward what has been started. The new Grandeur bridge has been started and may even get another new look as well
We are still looking for talented people who want to volunteer their time to help out. Skills needed are: 3D modelers, Graphic Designers, Technical writers, CGI animators music knowledge
Various main rooms we would like to see get done if possible are: Engineering Medical Bay Science
Other rooms not as important but would be nice to have are: Steller Cartography Astrometics Armory Lounge (Ours is called the CrystalStar-Globe Lounge)
Although The Commander will be putting the overall tech manual together we still would like technical writers that is good with the so called Star trek Tecno Babble Also, it would be nice to have some artist do up some basic equipment designs, even tho they may be standard to what is on the web now. it would be nice to have these drawings exclusive to the tech manual. Things like Tricorders, All types of Phasers, Replicators, most anything else that comes to mind in this way.
If toward the end of the project and we still need these things, we could possibly get these things from the web with permission to use them, but it is just a little extra someone might do to get his or her name on the Grandeur-A Project list.
We can not say for 100% certainty where all of this is headed, but it does have the possibility of expanding in certain areas. Please send me an e-mail at either captain_roop@yahoo.com or ldr@neo.rr.com and lets us know if you are interested in becoming part of the project. And just in case you might be wondering you do not have to be a member of the ship to be part of the project, we are looking for new membership all the time but we wanted to keep the membership separate from the actual project itself.
Feel free to respond to this post if you have any comments. Questions, are welcome too, and we will be happy to give you our best answers to those questions that we can.
